Thanks to Smith’s In-Mold construction, the outer shell and impact-absorbing liner are fused into a single lightweight unit, reducing bulk without sacrificing durability. Built-in ventilation channels promote steady airflow to help manage heat on longer runs, while the MIPS system adds an extra level of safety by addressing rotational forces during angled impacts.

MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is a low-friction layer positioned between the helmet’s shell and liner. In certain impacts, it allows a small amount of rotational movement, which can help reduce the twisting forces transferred to the brain and potentially lower the risk of injury.
