The Atomic Backland Pure is a minimalist ski touring binding designed for riders who want to keep pack weight low on long backcountry tours. It handles the essentials for skinning uphill and skiing down without any unnecessary bulk.

Weighing just 298 grams per binding, the Backland Pure trims grams where it counts, so you climb more comfortably and tire less quickly. The DIN binding range, marked W-M-EXP, can be adjusted to suit different skier strengths and preferences, giving you the right release settings for both ascent and descent.

The DIN scale is a standardized measure of how much force is needed to release your boot from the binding, helping reduce injury by matching release settings to your weight, height, boot sole length and skiing style.

The Atomic Backland Pure is a convenient and truly lightweight tech binding for alpine touring – weighing in at just 305g per piece with the included leash. It’s durable and easy to use, featuring a patented step-in aid at the front so your boot is automatically positioned to click in. Then two climbing aids work separately from the heel tower, so with one easy click you can choose between 0°, 7° and 13° positions. Performance-wise the Backland Pure is exceptional, with a broad 40mm mounting for max power transmission on wide skis (this also cuts the risk of the screws pulling out). It’s compatible with standard ski crampons and has a lengthy 30mm sole-length adjustment. Get ready to tour!
