The Big Agnes Salt Creek SL2 is a two-person, midweight dome tent designed for campers who seek a balance of durability and livable space on the trail. It’s built to handle varied conditions without weighing you down, making it a solid choice for weekend adventures or extended treks.
Inside, you’ll find ample room with a 259 cm by 218 cm footprint and a peak height of 112 cm, giving you enough space to stretch out or gear up. The tent’s polyester ripstop fabrics resist tears, while the DAC pressfit pole system and Dirt Dagger UL tent poles work together to keep the structure sturdy. It packs down to a compact 52 × 17 cm bundle and weighs just under 1.85 kg, and comes complete with stakes, guy lines and a carry bag so you’re ready to go straight from the pack.
Ripstop refers to a reinforced fabric weave that helps prevent small tears from spreading, and the PU coating adds a protective layer against moisture. DAC pressfit poles are lightweight aluminium rods that slot securely into a central hub, making setup straightforward and giving the tent its stable dome shape.
