Product Description

The Elan Insomnia Black Edition is a shaped piste ski designed to deliver smooth, controlled carving on groomed slopes. It comes equipped with ELX 11 GW Shift bindings, so you have everything you need to head straight to the lift.

Thanks to a turn radius of 13.3 m and a sidecut measuring 121/73/104 mm at 158 cm length, this ski offers a neat balance between stability at speed and responsiveness when you initiate a turn. The wider tip and tail provide solid grip on the edge, while the narrower waist makes it easier to pivot into each carve. The ELX 11 GW Shift bindings are compatible with both traditional alpine and GripWalk soles, giving you flexibility without extra adapters.

In ski design, the turn radius describes the circular arc a ski naturally follows—shorter radii mean quicker, tighter turns, while longer radii suit wider arcing lines. At 13.3 m, the Insomnia Black Edition leans towards agile, snappy turns on groomed snow. The 121/73/104 mm sidecut (tip/waist/tail) creates a parabolic shape that helps the ski bite into the edge and guide you smoothly through each carve.
