The Exped Ultra 5R MW is a lightweight airbed for campers who need reliable insulation in cold conditions. It’s meant to be rolled up small for backpacking trips, yet still deliver a warm night's rest when temperatures drop well below freezing.

At 7 cm thick, the Ultra 5R MW uses 160 g/m² Texpedloft microfibre insulation and a recycled 20D ripstop polyester top to balance warmth, weight and durability. Despite weighing just 655 g, it offers enough loft to keep you off the cold ground, and its 31 × 13 cm packed size slips easily into a trekking pack without taking up much room.

Its R-value of 5 measures how well the mat resists heat loss: the higher the R-value, the better the insulation. With R-5 performance, this pad is rated for use down to –20 °C, helping you stay warmer on winter trips.
