Meet the HEAD Mya No. 5 19/20, a carving-oriented alpine ski fitted with Joy 9 GW bindings. It’s designed to deliver responsive turns on groomed slopes without any unnecessary fuss.

The Mya No. 5’s 11.1 m turn radius at 156 cm lets you dial in medium-radius arcs with confidence, while its 125/77/108 mm tip-waist-tail profile strikes a balance between edge grip on hard snow and enough surface area for smooth transitions. The Joy 9 GW bindings offer a dependable connection to your boots and work with GripWalk soles, so walking around the resort feels more secure.

In ski talk, the turn radius describes the arc the ski naturally follows—a smaller number like 11.1 m means you can carve tighter turns. The three width measurements (tip, waist, tail) affect how the ski responds: a slimmer 77 mm waist speeds up edge-to-edge moves, while the broader tips and tails help maintain stability. “GW” stands for GripWalk, a sole standard that boosts traction and comfort when you’re off the snow.
