The Grand Illusion IV from Jack Wolfskin is a four-person family tent designed to give you a roomy basecamp on your outdoor adventures. With a comfortable headroom of 140 cm and a floor area of roughly 230 × 215 cm, it’s built to host small families or groups of friends who need a reliable shelter for weekends in the woods or longer trips.
Built mostly from recycled polyester, the outer tent and inner tent fabrics balance breathability and resistance to the elements, while the Hydrofilm-coated polyester groundsheet keeps dampness at bay. Fiberglass poles form a stable framework, and the package includes a roll-up stuffsack, repair set, tent pegs and guy lines—so you’ve got what you need to pitch, maintain and secure the tent without searching for extra bits at home.
Denier (D) is a measure of thread thickness: higher numbers mean a heavier, more tear-resistant fabric. Here, 75D and 68D recycled polyester offer a good mix of strength and packability for the flysheet and inner tent, while the 150D floor material adds extra durability where you need it most.

Jack Wolfskin says about the Grand Illusion IV
The GRAND ILLUSION IV is a simple, spacious dome tent designed to accommodate four people and is made predominantly from recycled materials.
The tent has a very roomy sleeping cabin and a vestibule that's nearly as big, with loads of room for your luggage and bikes or a table and chairs. Two large windows provide plenty of daylight.
The FAST PITCH system makes the tent very quick and easy to pitch. And thanks to the REAL DOME technology it is also extremely wind stable and very roomy. Four internal pockets provide plenty of space to stow items of kit.
