Product Description

The Mammut Eisfeld Advanced SO Pants Men are designed for active outdoor pursuits where freedom of movement and quick drying are key. As a softshell hiking pant, they offer a balance between weather resistance and breathability, making them suitable for trail walks, scrambling or lightweight alpine adventures.

Constructed from Schoeller®-dryskin fabric—91% polyamide and 9% elastane—the pants stretch with your movements and shed moisture rapidly when you pick up the pace. Cordura® reinforcement in high-wear areas adds durability where you need it most, so they hold up to rocky trails and pack abrasion without weighing you down.

Schoeller®-dryskin is a layered softshell material that combines a wind-resistant outer face with a membrane and a soft inner layer, allowing sweat vapor to escape while blocking light showers. The added elastane provides a comfortable four-way stretch, and the Cordura® panels use high-tenacity nylon fibers for extra abrasion resistance, extending the life of the garment in demanding conditions.

When form follows function. Rather than superfluous frills, soft shell pants for mountain tours, alpine climbing and fast approaches should focus on the essentials. This was the guiding principle behind the development of our Eisfeld Advanced SO Pants Men. We opted for a highly elastic and breathable schoeller®-dryskin soft shell complemented by durable, elastic Cordura® inserts in critical places. Designed for dry conditions, our lightest alpine pants in the new Eiger Extreme Collection nevertheless take moisture and dirt in their stride, thanks to the environmentally-friendly ecorepel® treatment. A coldblack® treatment stops the darker color versions from overheating, even in blazing sunshine. The leg hem with gusset, zipper and anti-slip webbing sits securely on your mountaineering boots even when climbing and the flat elasticated waistband creates no additional bulk under a climbing harness or backpack strap.
