The Heritage HS Hooded Jacket Women from Mammut is a mid-length, hooded shell designed to keep you dry in changeable weather. It sits between a standard jacket and a long coat, offering extra coverage without adding bulk. As part of Mammut’s women’s outdoor clothing range, it’s a straightforward waterproof layer for hiking, commuting or any time you need reliable protection from rain.

Built with a 2-layer Gore-Tex construction and without added insulation, this jacket strikes a balance between weather resistance and packability. The taped seams and adjustable hood lock out showers, while the unlined interior keeps the weight down and allows you to layer underneath as conditions change. The mid-length cut also helps shield your hips and upper thighs, giving you a bit more protection when the trail gets wet.

In a 2-layer jacket, the waterproof, breathable membrane is bonded to the outer fabric and then lined with a simple protective layer, rather than being fully sandwiched between fabrics. This gives a more flexible feel and reduces overall weight. Gore-Tex itself is engineered to block liquid water from the outside while letting moisture vapor from sweat escape, so you stay drier in damp weather and during high-output activities.
