MSR Footprint Universal 4 Large

The MSR Footprint Universal 4 Large is a tailor-made groundsheet designed for use with four-person tents like the Habitude 4. It creates a robust barrier between your tent floor and the ground to fend off abrasion, punctures and dampness, helping to keep your living space cleaner and extending the life of your tent.

Made from tough 68D taffeta polyester treated with a Durable Water Repellent finish, this lightweight footprint adds protection where it’s needed without bulk. Packing down to a modest size and tipping the scales at around 450 grams, it slides into your pack with ease while matching the full footprint of your Habitude 4 tent floor.

The 1200 mm polyurethane coating refers to the height of a water column the fabric can withstand before leaking, so it handles ground moisture and light puddling reliably. DWR, or Durable Water Repellent, causes water to bead up and roll off the surface instead of soaking in, while the 68D denier rating indicates the thickness of the yarns used—offering a good balance of strength and packability. Taffeta polyester is woven for a smooth feel and added tear resistance, ensuring the footprint endures rough terrain.
