The Tensor Insulated Long Wide 2021 from Nemo is a sleeping pad designed to give extra room and warmth for campers who need a bit more length and width. It combines an air mattress’s comfort with built-in insulation so you can rest more comfortably on cooler ground.

Made with a 20D PU polyester top and an inner aluminized film layer, this pad reflects heat back toward your body while keeping weight down. Its 8 cm loft provides a balanced cushion against rocks and roots, and when deflated it rolls into a 24 x 9 cm package that slips easily into your backpack. At 675 g, it sits in the lightweight category—light enough for multi-day hikes but with enough substance to stay cozy as temperatures dip.

The R-value of 3.5 indicates how well the pad resists heat flow, so you’ll hold onto more warmth on cool nights. In simple terms, the higher the R-value, the better the insulation—3.5 puts this pad in a range that suits most spring through fall camping. The 20D polyester refers to the fabric’s denier, a measure of yarn thickness that balances toughness and low weight, while the aluminized film acts like a thin mirror, bouncing your body heat back instead of letting it escape.
