The Petzl Tikka is a compact headlamp designed to light your way on camping trips, evening hikes or hands-free tasks around camp. Its streamlined design sits comfortably on your forehead, keeping your hands free for setting up tents, reading maps or cooking over a camp stove.
With three brightness levels—350 lumens on high, 100 on medium and 7 on low—the Tikka adapts to different situations: a long-range beam for trail navigation, a softer glow for campsite chores, and an economical setting for close-up tasks or preserving night vision. It comes with three AAA batteries, and you can swap in Petzl’s CORE rechargeable pack (sold separately) to cut down on waste. At just 82 grams on your head, it won’t weigh you down on multi-day treks.
The IPX4 rating means the Tikka resists splashes from any direction, so light rain or accidental water spray won’t cut your trip short. Lumens measure the total amount of light emitted, while beam distance (up to 65 meters on high) indicates how far that light travels. Choosing between disposable AAA cells or a rechargeable battery gives you flexibility whether you’re off grid or near a power source.
