The Mercury GTX Tandem by Point 65 is a sit-on-top kayak designed for two paddlers who want to explore lakes, slow rivers or coastal waters together. Its tandem setup makes it easy to share the workload and enjoy the scenery side by side.

Made from 100% polyethylene, this kayak can carry up to 240 kg, so you and your partner can pack camping gear or picnic supplies without worrying about space. At 5.51 m long with a 60 cm beam, it tracks well in a straight line while still feeling stable underfoot. Although it weighs 35 kg, the material’s toughness means it stands up to bumps and scrapes, making it a reliable choice for regular outings.

Polyethylene is a durable plastic commonly used in kayak construction because it resists impacts and UV exposure, helping the hull stay intact and retain its color even after repeated contact with rocks or long days in the sun.

The Point 65 Mercury Tandem is the latest model in the Point 65 series of modular kayaks. The Mercury Tandem is a fast kayak made up of 4 parts for 2 people. The Kayak is very quick to assemble and fits in the cargo hold of many cars. New compared to the Martini series is that the front part fits into a different section, so less space is required to transport the canoe.

The Mercury is a rotomoulded polyethylene canoe. Polyethylene is a strong and unbreakable material that requires no maintenance. By omitting a midsection, the Mercury can be converted into a 1-person kayak in no time. The Mercury is equipped with a rudder as standard, making the kayak very easy to maneuver. The Mercury is available in a Solo and a Tandem version.
