The Rab Solar Eco 2 Long Wide is a synthetic mummy-style sleeping bag designed for spring and autumn nights, offering a comfort rating of +4°C. With its extra length of 230 cm, it’s tailored for campers up to around 200 cm tall, and the wider shape adds a touch of space without compromising warmth.
Inside and out, the bag uses 20D Atmos™ recycled polyester ripstop—41 g/m² in the insulation and 38 g/m² in the lining—backed by a 100% recycled polyester shell with a PFC-free durable water-repellent finish. That recycled construction not only cuts down on waste but also holds loft better when conditions get damp, and the roomier mummy cut gives just enough extra elbow room for restless sleepers.
The “20D” denier rating refers to the thickness of each fiber: low enough for a soft, lightweight feel yet strong enough to resist abrasion. Ripstop weaving reinforces the fabric so small tears can’t spread, and the DWR coating makes moisture bead up and roll off, helping the insulation stay lofted and effective.
