Product Description

The Robens Pioneer 3EX is a three-person tunnel tent designed for campers who want a balance between lightweight packing and sturdy performance. With its midweight construction and ample interior space, it offers reliable shelter on multi-day trips where easy setup and a compact pack size are key.

The outer tent uses a HydroTex Core fabric made from 75D polyester Taffeta, treated to resist flames and handle the rigors of wind and rain, while the inner tent is crafted from breathable 68D polyester to help reduce condensation overnight. A robust polyester Taffeta groundsheet adds durability underfoot, and when packed down to 62 × 20 cm and weighing just 3.3 kg, this tent stays manageable on backpacking routes or family outings.

The “D” in 75D or 68D refers to the denier rating of the polyester threads—higher numbers mean thicker, more tear-resistant yarns—while “Taffeta 190T” indicates the fabric’s thread count, which balances strength with weight. Together, these specifications ensure the Pioneer 3EX remains both tough enough for repeated use and light enough to carry without adding bulk to your pack.
