A lot has changed in recent years in the camping industry. Barely 5 years ago, the real breakthrough of the Inflatable Tents was tents with air tubes that you inflate with a regular hand pump within half a minute. A few years later, more than half of all pitched tents we sell already have air ducts instead of sticks. Lightweight mats are now so light that you almost wonder how you ever set out with a mat of almost a kilo in your backpack. And for the comfort seekers, there are now sleeping mats with a thickness of 15cm, which are better than the average hotel mattress. Buying a tent
What should you look for when buying a tent? That's a lot of business. Some of these things are personal. How much space are you looking for and for how many people? How many sleeping cabins do you want? How much height do you need? You will have to invent that yourself before buying a tent by looking at tents. These are your personal choices.

Er is nogal wat veranderd de laatste jaren op kampeergebied. Nauwelijks 5 jaar geleden was de echte doorbraak van de Opblaasbare tenten , tenten met luchtbuizen die je met een gewone handpomp binnen een halve minuut opblaast. Een paar jaar later heeft al meer dan helft van alle tenten met stahoogte die we verkopen luchtbuizen in plaats van stokken. Lichtgewicht matten zijn inmiddels zo licht, dat je je bijna afvraagt hoe je ooit met een mat van bijna een kilo in je rugzak op pad bent gegaan. En voor de comfortzoekers zijn er inmiddels slaapmatten met een dikte van 15cm, die beter liggen dan het gemiddelde hotelmatras. Een tent kopen
Waar moet je letten bij het kopen van een tent? Dat zijn best wat zaken. Een aantal van die dingen is persoonlijk. Hoeveel ruimte zoek je en voor hoeveel personen? Hoeveel slaapcabines wil je? Hoeveel hoogte heb je nodig? Dat zal je voor de aankoop van een tent zelf moeten uitvinden door tenten te bekijken. Dat zijn jouw persoonlijke keuzes.
Eigenschappen van de tent
Bij het kopen van een tent zijn er ook de eigenschappen van de tent zelf. Die worden bepaald door materialen waaruit een tent is opgebouwd. De materiaalkeuzes bepalen hoe de tent functioneert en wat de eigenschappen zijn. Je kunt twee precies gelijke tenten hebben in afmeting en hoogte, maar die door de gebruikte materialen eigenlijk compleet verschillend zijn. Dat geldt voor lichtgewicht net zo goed als voor familietenten.
