The Solar Horizon 2 from Terra Nova is a geodesic, two-person shelter crafted for lightweight backpacking in exposed environments. It balances low carry weight with a stable structure, making it suited to trekkers who need reliable protection without excess bulk.

Weighing in at just 1.75 kg and offering an interior floor area of 126 cm by 224 cm, this tent comfortably houses two sleepers plus gear at the foot. The flysheet, inner tent and groundsheet are all made from recycled, PFC-free fabrics for durability with a smaller ecological footprint. A full-coverage groundsheet and reflective Dyneema guy lines help you stay secure and visible when the wind picks up.

In a geodesic design, multiple poles cross over each other to spread wind load evenly, giving you a taut, resilient shelter in gusty conditions. The 8.7 mm DAC NFL alloy poles strike a balance between strength and lightness, while 20 denier N6 ripstop fabric incorporates a grid of reinforcing threads that resists tears. Reflective Dyneema cord offers high tensile strength with minimal weight, making setup and pack-down straightforward on the trail.
