Product Description

The Therm-a-Rest ProLite Apex Regular 2023 is a self-inflating sleeping pad designed for campers who want a lightweight cushion between them and the ground. It offers a straightforward way to add comfort and insulation on backpacking or car-camping trips.

Weighing in at 630 grams, the ProLite Apex sits in the light category, so it won’t slow you down on the trail. Its 5 cm thickness provides enough loft to relieve pressure points, and the 50D polyester top balances durability with a comfortable sleep surface. When it’s time to move on, the pad compacts to a 28 x 13 x 13 cm package that tucks neatly into most packs.

The pad’s R-value of 3.8 measures its thermal resistance, which shows how well it blocks ground chill. With that rating, the ProLite Apex is well suited to cool to mild conditions, helping you stay warm from spring through fall. The internal polyurethane foam self-inflates by drawing in air as soon as you open the valve, so you can set up camp in seconds without manual blowing.

The self-inflating foam measures 2 inches (5 cm) and features our StrataCore construction, a design that provides the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any self-inflating foam construction. The ProLite Apex 3.8 R-value allows adventurers to stave off the cold during three-season pursuits. The packable self-inflating pad features the high-performance WingLock valve, which has three-times the airflow rate of the classic valve thanks to a larger opening and one-way inflation. Like all Therm-a-Rest pads, the ProLite Apex is made in market to ensure quality and minimize environmental impact. The pad includes a compact stuff sack.
