The Volkl Deacon 84 22/23 test skis are an all-mountain setup designed to handle everything from firm groomers to variable snow. These demo skis give you a chance to experience Volkl’s balanced ride without committing to a full-season purchase, making them a practical choice for anyone exploring varied terrain.

Mounted with the Lowride XL 13 FR Demo GW binding, the Deacon 84 is ready to hit the slopes straight out of the rack. The 132/84/115 mm sidecut combines nimble turn initiation with on-edge stability, while the 84 mm waist provides enough surface for confidence on softer snow without feeling sluggish on hardpack. At about 3.14 kg per ski, they deliver a solid, damp feel at speed, helping you maintain control through mixed conditions.

The 15 m radius at 177 cm refers to the theoretical curve these skis carve when held on edge—offering medium-radius turns that balance quick response with smooth transitions. Sidecut, the gradual change in width from tip to waist to tail, determines how easily a ski can bend into a turn: deeper sidecut (wider tips and tails relative to the waist) creates tighter arcs, while a gentler sidecut smooths out longer, more stable turns.
