The Wechsel Tempest 4 is a lightweight tunnel tent designed for four people who need a compact, sturdy shelter on multi-day hikes or camping trips. Its streamlined shape and modest packed size make it a good fit for those who count every gram and cubic centimetre in their pack.

With a 241 cm width, 457 cm depth and 140 cm peak height, the tent offers enough room for sleeping mats and gear while still fitting through forest trails and tight campsites. The outer tent and floor use ripstop nylon fabrics treated with silicone and PU coatings for tear resistance and reliable weather protection. Inside, a breathable nylon inner tent helps reduce condensation, and the 7001 T6 aluminium poles balance strength with low weight. Packed down to 46 × 21 cm and weighing 3.25 kg, it stays manageable on long carries without sacrificing living space.

Ripstop nylon features a cross-thread pattern that prevents small punctures from turning into large rips, so the tent stands up well to rough ground and brushes with branches. The silicone and PU coatings add layers that help water bead and run off rather than soak through. The 7001 T6 aluminium alloy used for the pole set is prized for its stiffness and lightness, giving the tent a stable framework without extra bulk.
